As we’re out and about, many of us will notice the visible change in season taking place: leaves are turning from green to golden yellows and bright reds, folks have started pulling out their sweaters and Fall coats, and pumpkins have started popping up on our neighbour’s doorsteps. But pumpkin spice lattes and Halloween decorations are not the only new updates that the winds of change have brought about.
In addition to more Autumnal weather, our team has noticed new compliance documentation requirements when it comes to shipping lithium batteries – even in cases where exemptions apply. Similarly, the PHMSA has issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to further align domestic hazmat shipping requirements with evolving international standards, and they’re looking for community input!
